The SAK Good Job Barometer, published by the Central Organisation of Finnish Trade Unions (SAK), is an online test of working conditions. The research-based Good Job Barometer enables anyone to test the quality of their working conditions and compare them with the experiences of more than 1,200 other employees in Finland.

The online test in Finnish, Swedish and English examines such aspects as job security, income and employee empowerment. The test analyses the answers given and assesses whether the respondent’s working conditions are better or worse than the national average.

In addition to the overall assessment, the test also provides a point-by-point comparison with other workplaces assessed by ten significant job quality factors.

The Good Job Barometer applies data from the latest SAK working conditions survey, which drew responses from 1,201 members of SAK-affiliated trade union members in spring 2022. The template for the Barometer is the Gute Arbeit index used by the German Confederation of Trade Unions (DGB).
